Eager Elephants
Toddlers: 24 months-30 months
Our Eager Elephants may be small, but they are mighty! In this classroom, children begin learning foundational skills such as sitting together for group time, sharing toys, and interacting positively with their peers. This stage also introduces important self-help skills, like washing their hands, putting on shoes with assistance, and cleaning up after themselves. For some, it may also mark the beginning of their potty training journey. Between 24 and 30 months, children experience tremendous growth in many areas. They begin to develop early language skills, using short phrases or sentences to express needs and ideas. They may start identifying colors, animals, or familiar people and objects in books. Fine motor development is also in full swing—they love stacking blocks, scribbling with crayons, turning pages in a book, and feeding themselves with utensils. Socially, these little learners are discovering how to use their words to engage with peers, take turns, and follow simple directions. You’ll also notice this spirited group beginning to come out of their shells and showing off their big personalities—we wouldn’t expect anything less from our Eager Elephants!
Mrs. Julianna
Lead Teacher
Hello, I am Mrs. Julianna, and I want to tell you a little bit about myself. I was born in China and was adopted by loving parents when I was 5 years old. I have two sisters (Ellie and Danielle) and a loving Husband (Jordan). I have three cute guinea pigs (Boba, Mochi and Honeydew). I also have a niece and nephew (Nora and Nathan) in Fort Collins. I have been teaching young kids for over 5 years. I also use to volunteer as an assistant at Chinese Culture Center for three years. I have an Early Childhood Education Certification (ECE) and an Associate of Arts Degree from Arapahoe Community College. In my personal time I like to go to festivals and try new yummy foods. I am so excited to be part of the team here at First Plymouth!
